I’ll be heading back to Seattle soon, but I can’t leave the Last Frontier without giving away some Alaskana.
Here’s what’s up for grabs this week:
The 2011 Alaska Moose calendar — a year’s worth of funky ungulates. My favorite is July, a mama moose soaking herself in a lawn sprinkler. The calendar is photographed and produced by the Anchorage Daily News, my former employer.
An “Alaska Girls Kick Ass” bumper sticker, aka a little attitude from a northern latitude. (This item generated much interest during summer giveaways.)

Moose are my favorite, behind turtles and wolves. When I was in high school we had to design an airline and I named mine MooseAir. Instructor not too sure it would exude confidence to see a big moose on the tail fin of an airplane…….so what, who cares. haha. Happy Holidays.
Woo hoo, moose! I would love a moose calendar. Come on random number generator, hook me up!

Me love Moose! Probably because I don’t have to deal with them on a daily basis. HA!
The Moose Calendar will spark a lot of comments at work! Count me in, Donna! Thx.
Facebook too.
I would love to win the moose calendar!
When we were newly in love, my beloved husband and I fell into the habit of saying “I love you moose” to describe how much we loved each other.
A friend of mine actually knows the person who took the video and picture of the moose in the sprinkler! Would love to have the calendar!
Would love to win the calander and start the year off right .
This could be fun!
Merry Christmas!
Okay, I’ll bite. I have never had or seen a moose calendar, so this should be super fun.
I also follow via email. Donna, I did not know you were still in Alaska!
What a fun giveaway!

Found your blog through “The Working Poor”. I’d love to be included in the drawing for the calendar. I’m off to scroll through your archives.

@Erin: Thanks for bringing that up. I’d forgotten that meter-feeding is illegal in some places. But hey, unless a law is posted prominently I might just forget that it exists…And maybe they’d let me off with a warning if I were caught.
An indelible moose memory: In a Fairbanks restaurant one winter, the waiter announced, “There’s a moose outside.” Everyone instantly vacated the warm restaurant and their warm dinners to stand in the snow and watch (at a respectful distance) a moose eat leaves.
The calendar sounds like a hoot!
I have to have that bumper sticker. Honestly what a better sign for a jersey girl. I would regift anything else just pleassssssse give me that bumper sticker.
I follow you on facebook too.
I’ve had a lot of moose calendars in the past, but not in a few years, and would love to have another one, especially this one, the pictures sound great! Happy Holidays everyone!!!
