Win a little slice of SaveUp 2011.

Wish you could have been at the SaveUp 2011 conference. This week’s giveaway provides a little SaveUp vibe. The chicken slingshot is a particularly nice touch.

Attendees were given a bag of small gifts and the option of getting a few extra ones, such as software. I hung back from that, figuring other people needed it more (and that they actually understood how to use it). Still, I wound up with enough items to make a fun giveaway.

Housed in a reusable Savings.com shopping bag are:

A $20 gift card to Cooking.com

A cosmetics bag from Beauty.com, containing Bare Minerals mascara, Bliss Best of Skintentions daily moisturizer, Nick Chavez volumizing gel, Laura Geller makeup primer, Stila One-Step Primecolor (“bronze babe” shade)

Carters/OshKosh B’gosh logo items: A bright-blue insulated coffee mug, a $5 gift card, small reusable shopping bag, notepad and pen

Savings.com logo items: Bright-red coffee mug, pen, large oven mitt (“Don’t get burned paying retail”) and a super-cozy red fleece hoodie that reads “I (heart) savings”

The chicken slingshot: Its actual title is the Flingshot Flying Chicken. When properly motivated, this plush fowl crows and flies up to 50 feet. (Poultry in motion?) Since it crows, it should probably called the Flingshot Flying Rooster. Either way it’s a pretty startling little item. Watch it in action on this YouTube video. I’m thinking office Christmas party, myself.

If you do any (or all!) of these things, please leave separate, additional comments to get credit for each entry.

The deadline is 9 p.m. PDT on Monday, Oct. 23.

  7. I’m with everyone else and LOVING this chicken slingshot! Although can I admit initially all I could think of was a frozen bird being flung across someone’s kitchen via this sling shot?

  13. Every Friday, as I click the bookmark to your blog, I think, “I wonder what Donna will have thought up for this week’s drawing…” You have some fun selections, and your descriptions are the best part. (I’m with you on the Flingshot – that bird isn’t screaming, it’s crowing. Definitely a rooster. Or maybe it identifies as a chicken. Who am I to judge?)

Please enter me, and, as always, thanks for holding the drawing!

  14. You cannot go wrong with a chicken slingshot!
