Just bought a Butterball Turkey Deep-Fryer that sits on the kitchen counter. It’s electric and much safer. The downside is it only holds a 14 lb bird. So I’m making two! There was another one next to it at Lowe’s which I swear should have had a label, “Want to burn your house down? Choose this one!”

Thanks for the link — harbor such affection for that guy and didn’t even realize how funny he was until “the Big Giant Head” days on “Third Rock.” Such a brilliant suggestion for the Naked Gun series.

In south Louisiana, fried turkey for the holidays is like a given. I’m terrified of doing it myself, though, so I buy it already cooked.

LOVED the video! Shatner is so awesome, and I totally agree, he seems to really enjoy perpetuating that over-the-top caricature — all I know is that I enjoy watching him do it! He’s a hoot!

I think he should take over the Naked Gun series from the late Leslie Nielsen. After all, he WAS T.J. Hooker!
