Who wants to go to the movies?

“War Horse”? “Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol”? “We Bought a Zoo”? “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo”? “The Adentures of Tintin”?

Let me buy the first two tickets.

This week’s giveaway is another AMC movie package: two tickets and two fountain sodas. Take your spouse. Take a friend. Take yourself, twice.

If the winner contacts me first thing Tuesday, I’ll put the tickets in the mail that day. They should arrive in time for a Saturday matinee before going out for New Year’s Eve — or for two movies in a row and then home to watch the ball fall.

If you do any (or all!) of these things, please leave separate, additional comments to get credit for each entry.

The deadline is 9 p.m. PST Monday, Dec. 26.

  2. I just subscribed to your newsletter! I want to go see WAR HORSE, because the more I hear about it, the more I am intrigued. First I saw a little bit on this, as I watched the TONY awards and learned about this as a PLAY on BROADWAY. Then I heard that they made a movie about it. I heard that the HORSE is best actor in the entire movie. This horse does things that are just AMAZING! Then I heard the story, which is about a boy who gets this wonderful horse and then loses him because the horse is drafted into WWI. A learning experience in of itself. Then I saw that the film was directed by Steven Spielberg. He’s never made a bad movie, that I know about… and he depicts this… This was originally a CHILDREN’s BOOK and then adapted to a PLAY. Of course things have been changed for the adult audience and then it was picked up to become a movie. I really like this whole history behind it and I am chomping at the bit to see this movie!

  3. I would love to see The Girl With The Dragon TAtto. Loved the book and would like to see if they can bring the whole feeling to the silver screen. BTW, congratulations on being a grandma to be.

  4. The hubs and I would love to see Sherlock Holmes – and we haven’t been out on a date, let alone gone to a movie, since our son was born in October. High time we stepped out, I think.

  6. I totally missed this but commenting anyway! I want to see the descendants, I heard it’s really good. I just watched The Help, aside from wanting to punch Milly in the face the whole time, I loved loved that one. Skeeter is THE best.

  7. The hubs and I planned to go to the movies today to see Girl With The Dragon Tattoo but I’ve been sidelined with a nasty cold/sinus infection. Maybe I’ll win the tickets and can go next week when I feel better.

  8. My husband and I rarely get to go to the movies due to me being the only one working. He is still trying to get disability. I only made, $12,000.00 last year for both of us. We would love to see all of these movies. Thanks for the chance ;] I will be subscribing, forwarding this info to my Bff and sister and following on Facebook.
