Your money: The missing manual.

Thanks to all who left comments here and on the Facebook page or e-mailed after my daughter lost her baby. Your expressions of sympathy and support were much appreciated during this sad time in our family’s life.

To get back on track, I decided I’d better keep my giveaway streak alive. Up this week is a copy of J.D. Roth’s “Your Money: The Missing Manual.”

missing manual1 Your money: The missing manual.

Most of you probably recognize J.D.’s name from Get Rich Slowly, probably the widest-read personal finance blogs around. Keeping true to his stated goal, he provides no get-rich-quick schemes. Instead, he focuses on practical use of available funds with an eye toward building a better future — i.e., the future you want.

“This book can help anyone who’s struggling with money find a path to a better financial life,” says Liz Pulliam Weston, my colleague at MSN Money.

If that’s you, then sign up to win this copy. And if you don’t win? Follow the link above to get your own copy. Or be frugal and ask your local library system to buy it.

If you do any (or all!) of these things, please leave separate, additional comments to get credit for each entry.

The deadline is 9 p.m. PST Monday, Jan. 16.

I’m sorry I missed the deadline for the book. It will be interesting to see how JD handles his personal crisis/changes going forward, especially for those of us taking the ride with him.
