Cindy Brick, where are you?

The winner of last week’s prize, a copy of “Your Money: The Missing Manual,” is Cindy Brick. Or will be, if I hear back from her by Monday night.

Cindy: Check your e-mail! I’ve sent two notes and tried to send a third through your personal website (which bounced back).

If you don’t contact me by Monday evening, I will ask the random number generator to draw an alternate winner.

In fact, I’m instituting a new rule. I notify the winner on Monday night or Tuesday morning. If he or she does not respond by Friday, someone else will win.

I know you’re busy, folks. So am I. But I find the time to announce a contest, choose a winner and mail the prize each week. So if you enter the contest, take the additional step of checking your e-mail the next week. You snooze, you lose.

Oh, and if anyone knows Cindy Brick? Tell her not to be a stranger.

  1. I know her and got an email from her yesterday. Just sent her an email to let her know she needs to contact you.

  2. Donna, I only give winners 48 hours — then I pick another person. You’re very kind to actually try to track them down.

@Kay Lynn: Thanks. But I’m going to employ tough love from now on. :-)

  3. Let us know if you manage to find Cindy!! Ah no, no tough lofe, you are so sweet. It wouldn’t suit you!!

  4. I’m here, Donna — I’m here! Sorry for the delay — haven’t been checking my e-mail this weekend. (Cleaned the refrigerator out and loaded the dishwasher, instead. My bad.)

Sorry for the frustration I caused. I’m looking forward to reading the book! (Thank you.)

  5. I’m glad Cindy was found…I love a happy ending.

“Cindy Brick, Where Are You?” will be the title of my next book.

@ImJuniperNow: Especially since “Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?” is already taken…
