Hey, all you motley, foolish idiots: Wanna play the stock market?Posted by Donna Freedman on Feb 10, 2012 | 62 comments
I’ve got a couple of books that will get you started – and I’m giving them away. That means two winners this week.
“The Motley Fool Million Dollar Portfolio: How to Build and Grow a Panic-Proof Investment Portfolio” by David Gardner and Tom Gardner was critically acclaimed for its readability as well as its savvy. Their work “stands out as an ethical oasis in an area that is fast becoming a home to charlatans,” according to The Economist.
“The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Stock Investing” by Sarah Young Fisher and Susan Shelly is designed to walk you through the investment process with an eye toward long-term profitability.
Anyone feeling lucky? If so, here’s how to enter:
- Leave a comment below
- Subscribe via e-mail or RSS
- Sign up to follow Surviving and Thriving on Twitter or Facebook
If you do any (or all!) of these things, please leave separate, additional comments to get credit for each entry.
The deadline is 9 p.m. PST Monday, Feb. 13. If I do not hear back from the winner by Wednesday night, I will choose another name.
