“The Amazing Spider-Man” — on the big screen or on your wall.Posted by Donna Freedman on Jul 5, 2012 | 76 comments
Last week I neglected to post a giveaway, and swore I’d make it up to you. That’s why there are two prizes this week, both in honor of the re-imagining of the “Spider-Man” franchise.
One prize is cinematic: a $15 AMC movie gift card. If you don’t have an AMC theater in your area, sell it on the secondary market. (For the nuts and bolts, see “Selling unwanted gift cards.”)
The other prize is artistic: a “Spider-Man” diptych drawn by my brother, freelance artist GW Fisher. The two-part work features Spidey taking on four villains: Mysterio, Venom, Electro and Dr. Octopus.
Unfortunately I can’t show the diptych due to technical difficulties. But my brother does quality work — and I’d say that even if he weren’t my brother. You may remember that I put four of his superhero prints up for grabs back in April; if not, re-visit that giveaway and see for yourself.

The deadline is 9 p.m. PDT on Monday, July 8. If the winner does not respond to my e-mail by midday Wednesday, I’ll have the random number generator draw another winner. In other words: If you enter the contest, check your e-mail on Tuesday.
