Flying south, then east.

thI’m writing this from Seattle Tacoma International Airport, after a super-fast flight from Anchorage: 2 hours, 54 minutes — the wind was certainly beneath our wings on this trip.

I leave here at 11:45 p.m. and journey on to Dallas/Fort Worth, and from thence to Philadelphia, landing at 10:30 a.m. Sunday unless the Anti-Destination League hears that I’m out loose.

I’m spending part of that day with an old friend and then trying to write the MSN Money Frugal Nation post for Tuesday. That’s because on Monday I’m taking the Megasbus to New York City, where I’ll meet with a couple of editor types, have dinner with a blogger friend and get in line for the “Book of Mormon” ticket lottery.

Getting a ticket would be a Christmas miracle. I am not holding my breath.

I neglected to ask in advance, but….If any New York readers want to get together for coffee or breakfast on Tuesday or Wednesday morning, please leave a comment and also e-mail me at SurvivingAndThriving (at) live (dot) com with any suggestions you have for a place to meet. I’m staying at the hostel near the 103rd Street stop of the #1 train, but am also willing to meet downtown since I have a lunch meeting on Tuesday and the Megabus to catch at midday Wednesday.

With luck we can find a time and place that work. If not, then that’ll teach me to procrastinate.

Incidentally: It felt very odd to land at SeaTac and not immediately head to the light rail and then the #358 bus. I don’t live here any longer. Wow.

    • @Holly: Yes, I’ll be at my dad’s as of Wednesday night. Also visiting my brother, who lives in the same town, and will have a big Christmas to-do for his grandchildren.
New York has been a whirlwind of busyness. Wish I’d tacked on an extra day. Next time I will allow a little longer just to goof off.
