Those of you who’ve been keeping score may have noticed that I’ve been posting more frequently. A lot more frequently. That’s because I bought into the BlogHer version of National Blog Posting Month.
The theme this month is “risk.” Appropriate, because I thought I couldn’t do it.
In fact, I didn’t identify as a participant because I was afraid I’d then miss a day. The reason I’m outing myself now is to keep myself focused on completing the month.
I’ve struggled with work-life balance a lot in the past year. So why put more pressure on myself? To try and get myself into the habit of posting often, i.e., to realize that not every article has to be the Magna Freakin’ Carta. It could just be a short piece about a free coupon webinar or a rumination on re-learning how to play.
Of course, I could also write a long screed about the division of household labor. But only if I felt like it.
When the month is over I hope to have sufficient momentum to begin writing four or five posts a week. That’s for later, though. First I have to get through March.
Wish me luck, and thanks for reading thus far.
