Tax day antidote: A $20 Amazon gift card.

thI mailed my taxes on Tuesday. Nothing like waiting until the last minute, huh? Since some of you may be finishing up the paperwork, or may be glum about the paperwork you just mailed, I’m hoping this week’s giveaway will cheer you up.

And if not, maybe my upcoming Swagbucks announcement (more on that below) will do the trick.

What could you do with a $20 Amazon gift card? All sorts of things, from quinoa to sex toys.

Maybe you’ll want to get your copy of Dana Stabenow’s new book, “Bad Blood.” Maybe you’ll order a year’s worth of grownup gummy vitamins. Or headlamps, or zombie T-shirts, or parts for that old car you’re restoring.

Not my business. Once you win it, it’s yours to spend any way you like.

If you do any (or all!) of these things, please leave separate, additional comments to get credit for each entry.

The deadline is 7 p.m. PDT Monday, April 15. If I don’t hear back from the winner by 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, I’ll pull another name.

And on a completely unrelated note: If you were thinking of joining Swagbucks with my referral link, don’t do it today. Some time this weekend I will put up a post that includes a code for a 100-SB signup bonus. Stay tuned.

  1. Sure could use this! I’ve got something in my wish list and I just got a $25 amazon gift card for taking surveys. Still need more to get it.

  6. In the UK our financial year ends on 5th April, but I would still be excited to win an Amazon gift card! I should be getting a small refund this year because we are charged tax as if we will be working for the entire year, but I only worked for six months before starting my graduate degree.

What will I spend my refund on? Probably just my Emergency Fund/house deposit savings. I lead a thrilling (but vaguely financially stable!) life.. 🙂

  7. I’d love to get a couple of items on my wish list. I keep earning those $5 cards from swagbucks but a $20 card would shrink the list a lot faster.

  8. I would put that GC away for daughter’s college books next year. We bought some from Amazon this year (used), but of course she will need different books next year! 🙂

  10. I had to do my taxes early so I could submit the FAFSA for my son to be considered for financial aide. The FAFSA is just as much fun as doing taxes!

    • Hey schmei, have you checked out Feedly yet? I just migrated all my stuff over there from Google Reader and I’m loving it. They promise seamless integration when Google Reader goes down. (This totally isn’t spam.)
