Giveaway: “Do More, Spend Less.”

9781118518557_p0_v2_s260x420Brad Wilson wasn’t content just to found BradsDeals.com, TravelHacks.com and annually renewing sites for Black Friday and Cyber Monday.  To spread his “everything you know about being a consumer is wrong” message, he also wrote a book.

Do More, Spend Less: The New Secrets of Living the Good Life for Less” describes the behaviors and hacks that let Wilson earn more than 5 million frequent flyer miles, get half-off his iPhone and plan, arrange a 25% discount on new cars, spend three weeks at the Park Hyatt Paris for $20 and get a 0%, six-figure line of credit to build a business.

Until recently marketing has had a tight grip on our wallets, he notes, but thanks to the Internet “the playing field is tilting in our favor.”

Internet deal-hunting has made it possible for consumers to look beyond the manufacturer’s suggested retail price. Sometimes far beyond.

“This is a new way to shop, spend and live,” Wilson writes. “You won’t go back. You will get more and never pay retail again.”

  1. I’m a newcomer. Loved your life story. I’m always looking for new ways to save and spend. Funny, I came to our website and found this book here today ~ Just as I’ve been making a grocery list wondering about better ways to shop & save more $$. I love the idea of “new ways to shop, spend and live”. I’m buying this book!!!! As a single mom I am always telling my children “A penny saved is a penny earned”, something my mom use to say. With every coin or dollar bill we stuff into our bank (recycled plastic pretzel container) we repeat it agian. My children love watching the pennies & dollars add up. The dollars are saved for a Pizza night and the pennies are being saved for our family trip that we are hoping to next year. I’m glad I stumbled upon your webpage, I’m making it a Favorite and will be visiting regularly!!! This made my day today! Thank you.

  4. This book sounds VERY interesting. If I do not win, I’ll check my library. If I do win I will share it w/my adult daughters and a very frugal friend.

  5. Hope I win! I hope he shares a few failures, though, too. I’m a little cautious about anything that suggests internet deals are the be all/end all of places to find deals.

  8. And I read your blogs, new and old. Does being a fan of “I pick up pennies” by a “certain someone” give me some addition “street cred”?

    ha, ha

I would LOVE to win this book!
