I’m not calling you an idiot if you coupon. I do it myself. (I also remember the day when “coupon” was a noun, not a verb. Ditto “journal” and “parent.”)
What I’m doing is promoting this week’s giveaway, “The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Couponing.”
Rachel Singer Gordon’s book offers the tried-and-true along with the high-tech (electronic, printables, et al.). She covers couponing for special diets, saving money while shopping online and sharing your bounty with others.
What I like most about her book is her emphasis on “realistic” couponing. Gordon doesn’t expect busy people to spend hours clipping and filing in order to save 50 cents.

The deadline is 9 p.m. PDT Tuesday, June 5. If I don’t hear back from the winner by Wednesday evening, June 6, I’ll have the random number generator choose someone else.
I’ve used coupons in the past but the few “extreme” shows I’ve caught a glimpse of seem to be exactly that….”extreme”.
Sure could use this book. I have been couponing sincing 1980, and still wonder if I am doing right-LOL! I am trying to eat healthier as both of us have health problems. It just isn’t easy trying to find coupons on non processed food.
I think you mean Wednesday evening, June 6. Otherwise, you’ll be holding on to that book until 2013. 🙂
Sounds like an interesting book!
I’d like to learn more about couponing.

I go back and forth with couponing. My mom was a wiz with them and now I wish I would’ve paid more attention. The book sounds good, especially in times like these where every little tip and trick to save is greatly appreciated.

I use coupons occasionally, but find that they’re mostly for packaged food, high-calorie snacks, etc. They used to be better years ago when you could double them up to $1.00 off, and that was for one item. Now you have to buy two or three items and only get $.35 or $.50 off, and no doubling, at least in my area.
I could use some new couponing tips now that the stores are tightening up on their policies to prevent “extreme” couponing.
I subscribe via RSS and here is my comment!
