Lauren Greutman, who blogs at I Am That Lady, can put to rest most coupon myths. For example, as the mom of four young children she doesn’t have time to turn couponing into a full-time job.
Nor is her pantry full of prefab potatoes, salty snacks and garishly colored cereals; in fact, her family eats gluten-free and organic.
That’s why she wrote an e-book called “How to Coupon Effectively: Learn How to Save Thousands Per Year Spending Only 2 Hours Per Week.” She’s offered to donate a copy to give away this week, to help some lucky reader save money without getting calluses from clipping those Qs.
Lauren has taught coupon classes that help people cut their grocery budgets in half. Her book focuses on topics like organization, where to find coupons for free, budgeting, avoiding the usual coupon mistakes, the best money-saving apps, meal planning and shopping tips.
If you want to buy the book, you can get a 25% discount by clicking on the link above and using the code mealplanning at checkout.
First, though, you should try to win a copy by:
- Leaving a comment below
- Subscribing via e-mail or Feedburner
- Signing up to follow Surviving and Thriving on Twitter or Facebook
If you do any (or all!) of these things, please leave separate, additional comments to get credit for each entry.
The deadline is 7 p.m. PDT Tuesday, May 27. If I don’t hear back from the winner by 7 p.m. PDT Wednesday, May 28, I’ll pull another name.
Thanks Donna, I hope that I win!
Would love this! I am always so happy to find
coupons for items I always use. Coupons are great!
I’d love to get a copy of this book, Donna. I’m a “coupon contrarian,” and I just will not clip coupons for junk food. So Lauren’s tips would be perfect for me!

I like coupons but don’t have the time to make a career out of coupon clipping. Would love to have this book – I need all the helpful advice I can get.
My first time on your site. Would probably follow you on FB with or without the book. Have never really used kyou-pons (is this pronunciation wrong?)but am interested esp. with the provisions used in this book. – Thank you for the chance.
If someone can help me find coupons for organic food, I would love it! As usual, another great giveaway.
Need to be able to find more coupons for my kitties.

I rarely clip coupons now because of the lack of time. This book will help me get restarted. Thanks for the chance to win.
Hi Donna,
I’ve been reading your posts for quite a while and use a lot of your suggestions. (I started when you were still living in Seattle.) I just had unexpected surgery, medical bills are rolling in and now I’m having to revamp my budget. I don’t have much time for couponing or watching sales rotations. Lauren’s book would teach me some new tricks and is something I would be thrilled to receive. Thanks Donna!
I hope to win – I really like that she coupons on limited time and eats organic.

Sounds like a great book! Who has time to become an “Extreme Coupon” queen, especially with the junk that people buy on that show?
