Return of the three-conference swag box.

thA couple of weeks ago I gave away a box of swag obtained at conferences in New Orleans, Austin and Kansas City, Mo. At the time I promised a second giveaway of other such items.

I misspoke myself. But I did it for you!

Specifically, the folks at the Swagbucks rewards program stepped in and offered to give away a $50 e-gift card. Couldn’t down a chance for a reader to gain a $50 advantage on this year’s holiday shopping (or for a gift for themselves), so I put the second box on hold.

(The $50 prize is still up for grabs: You have until Dec. 5 to enter. Do it now, while you’re thinking about it.)

That second box o’ oddities is the subject of this week’s giveaway. Among the items included are:

Water bottle – It’s an h2go bfree hybrid bottle (i.e., no BPA) and comes with the H&R Block logo.

Republic Wireless T-shirt, size large – If it’s too big, wear it during workouts. If it’s too small, use it for cleaning rags or give it to a smaller friend.

Earbuds – Courtesy of Experian, these come in a little zippered pouch that would fit into a shirt pocket.

Reusable shopping bags – Three of them! They’re from EverBank, HomeInsurance.com and the SaveUp 2014 conference (hosted by Savings.com). The latter is made of canvas and should last a good long time.

Piggy bank – A blue EF-starter from Chase Bank. Nickel-and-dime your way to preparedness!

Stress bull – You’ve heard of a stress ball, right? This is a squeezy critter from MotifInvesting.com. Strangle it instead of the person who’s annoying you at any given moment.

Post-It notes – Always, always useful. Thank the cash-back site Mr. Rebates for this one.

Pens – These are from Affiliate by Conversant, Experian and Savings.com. Keep them by the phone with the Post-It notes.

Republic Wireless cellphone cozy – As noted last time, this may also be a sweater dress for a Barbie doll.

Cold drink cozy – This is definitely what it is; thanks, EverBank.

Bandana – It’s white with a black paisley print, and was donated by H&R Block. (Tip: Keep it in the glove compartment to use as a tissue or a napkin, neither of which ever seem to be around when they’re most needed.)

Baseball – HomeServe donated this Rawlings hardball (“Official OLB1 League”), which smells like genuine leather.

Cellphone charging platform – An ingenious little folding item that you hook around the plug where it goes into the outlet; the phone rests on the fold-out part.

Frugal temporary tattoos – They feature retro designs, e.g., flaming dice and hearts with arrows through them, and the financially sound messages “Saving” and “Retire Young.”

Lined journal with pen – This is also from Chase. Write the Great American Novel! Keep track of your workouts! Or leave it in the car so you can play hangman with your kid when you get stuck in traffic and your wireless devices aren’t working.

To enter:

If you do any (or all!) of these things, please leave separate, additional comments to get credit for each entry.

The deadline is 7 p.m. PDT Tuesday, Dec. 2. If I don’t hear back from the winner by 7 p.m. PDT Wednesday, Dec. 3, I’ll pull another name.

Note: Due to the high cost of international shipping, a winner from outside the United States will receive an e-gift card.

And again: If you haven’t entered to win the $50 e-gift card, you have until 7 p.m. PST Friday, Dec. 5, to do so. Be sure to read the linked post all the way through, because entering that giveaway is a little different than usual. Good luck!

  2. I’m in this time. These are things I, my kids or grands will use & enjoy. I do NOT enter when stuff is just going into the garage sale or charity donation box(es).
