Blogging less, temporarily.

thAs you may have noticed, I haven’t been doing a lot of in-depth writing lately. In part that’s because I was ill for a while and then spent eight days visiting my daughter.

The real reason, though, is that I’m doing on a personal project that’s taking most of my attention. Not quite ready to talk about what I’m working on, except to say this: It’s neither a book nor a baby.

There’s no reason for me to be so mysterious, except that I want to have completed the project before I write about it. The more I do, the more I realize is left to be done. I keep waking up at night with “Did I remember to do [whatever]…” clanging around in my skull.

Details, details. They murder sleep.

Thus I’m asking readers to be patient with the paucity of posts. Things should turn around by mid-March. That is, if I remember to do [whatever].

  1. Good luck on your project! Thanks for letting us know and I am sure we will all be here waiting to hear all about it. Of course a book would have been great and a baby, way to interesting!! Sometimes it is nice to have other things to work on. When I was doing my website, it was hard to strike a balance and it was either all or nothing for me. I burned out though and now I am doing other things. I often think about getting back to it, but now I am working on a nursing degree and it has to wait. I hope everything turns out as you plan and hope you are able to remember everything you need to. Take care Donna.

  2. We will be here; I’ll look upon it as if you are on holiday, knowing you’ll have a lot to tell when you return. Good luck and do take the patience and the relaxation (boosts creativity!) to work on those details. A lot of beauty can be in the details. Do your best, enjoy your project & good luck!

  4. I agree with Sandy, this is intriguing. Hmmmmmm, I must guess. A book about a baby? You are running away to join the circus? You are a wanted criminal? No wait, you are going away to serve jail time!!!! Yup, that’s it! Jail time. You are the Martha Stewart of frugal.

      • I’m sitting here laughing as I read this to DJ. He seems to agree with you on the account of the odd book.
And you get an A for the day for working it all in!!!! Now back to work on your mysterious project.

  5. Aw, Donna, it’s not fair to teas us like that! A book would have been my first guess, but outside of that I’m stumped…and very, very curious! Best of luck with the project–knowing you, whatever it is will be done superbly.

  6. Do you remember a radio show called “I Love a Mystery”? The only things I can think of that would take you several weeks and cause much angst are — 1. A complete do it yourself home remodel or, 2. an invention you are trying to patent Whatever, Good Luck!

    • I don’t remember that show, but I do love a mystery. Not trying to be overly mysterious about this project; it’s really fairly plebeian. I just need to take care of a lot of details and then I’ll be telling just about everybody who will stop to listen.

  7. Ooh, I love conversations that involve the words “I’m not quite ready to talk about it.” Sounds wonderfully ominous. I’ll just have to wait until sometime in March then. Good luck on your project.
