How can I help you? Let me count the ways….
As a writer.
I’ve been making a living as a writer for 30+ years (newspapers, magazines, websites). In the past decade my specialty has been personal finance. A few other specialties:
- Midlife reinvention
- Frugality
- Intentional living.
- Budgeting
- Finding joy in the everyday
I can write for your corporate blog (in your voice or as a freelancer), create content for a business or education website, or write to order for special projects. Some work samples:
“Credit or debit: Which one will save you $159k?” (Experian)
“How much do we owe others? (And when should we walk away?)” (Get Rich Slowly)
“How to shave more than $100 from your grocery bills this month” (All You magazine)
“The painful truth about your emergency fund” (The Simple Dollar)
“Wipe out your debt the fast and easy way” (Wise Bread)
“How to make extra money” (Woman’s Day magazine)
“Think money can’t buy happiness? Think again” (Money Talks News)
“How to save money on funeral costs” (NerdWallet)
As a speaker.
For nine years straight I have talked about writing at the Financial Blogger Conference, and have also done presentations at New Media Expo, SaveUp and Digital CoLab.
In addition to writing, I can talk about any of the topics mentioned earlier — and then some.
As a teacher.
New to blogging? My class, Write A Blog People Will Read, will help you find your voice. See the link for reviews.
For a free course sample, e-mail me at SurvivingAndThriving (at) live (dot) com. In your note, specify which aspects of writing are tying you in knots and I’ll choose a sample that fits.
Incidentally, you don’t need to be a blogger to this course. I’ve had people sign up just to become better at communicating their thoughts, either professionally or personally.
As a coach.
My goal is not to keep you on the hook for weeks or months. Instead, we’ll work quickly* to find out what’s keeping you from the work you want to do. Let me help you find your voice!
Several packages are available, starting at $125. Learn more at http://writeablogpeoplewillread.com/coaching/.
*And if you find you want coaching on a continuing basis? We’ll design a program that works. Ask!
Hi Donna,
Been a while and thought I would drop by to say hello. First what an amazing journey you have been on. I used to frequent your MSN pages back in the day…When that dried up you adapted….and a fine job you have done. As for me we have come a long way since May of 2019…when I was diagnosed with kidney cancer…Had the right kidney removed along with the tumor…Kind of a unique case in that a abscess had grown over the kidney and the 14 cm tumor…Spent 9 hours in surgery and 9 days in Johns Hopkins. Doing well and today is my 67th birthday…There is “some activity” (enlarged lymph nodes) that my oncologist is concerned with…and we may decide to take action…I’ll know more on March 1st…Talking immunotherapy…Thank God for Medicare! Hope all is well with you and was sorry to hear about your Dad. Talk to you soon….-Jestjack
That’s a pretty significant journey you’ve been on, yourself. Happy birthday, and I am wishing you renewed health.
