Giveaway: Last-minute Christmas gifts.

Still got a few people left to buy for, or looking for some stocking stuffers? Have I got a gift box for you.

This week’s giveaway is sponsored by RetailMeNot.com, probably the best-known of the online discount code providers. And what an esoteric box o’ oddities it is:

  • An eye mask filled with tiny beads purported to hold heat/chill better than ordinary gel (haven’t tried it, can’t vouch for it)
  • A mini-speaker for your laptop
  • “Point Break” on DVD (gnarly, dude)
  • A “pretty paper set” — stationery and sticky notes
  • A magnifying bug jar (when your kid catches an insect he’ll get a good look at it, because the lid uber-magnifies the captured critter)
  • And best of all, the “2 carat coffee cup” — if you hold it right, it looks like you’re wearing a diamond ring while you drink coffee

I’m kicking myself for giving this away now, instead of last week. Tick-tock! That’s why I’m going to do the drawing a little earlier, at 5 p.m. PST Sunday, Dec. 19.

Note: Anyone who enters needs to check e-mail late that night or first thing the next morning. The sooner I hear back from the winner, the faster I can get the package on its way. If I can Express-Mail the stuff on Monday, you will probably get it on time to wrap and distribute the contents.

And if not? Give ’em for Russian Christmas, on Jan. 7. Or use the items during the year for birthday presents. Or go out bug collecting.

To enter:

If you do any (or all!) of these things, please leave additional comments to get credit for each entry.

Entry deadline is 5 p.m. PST Sunday, Dec. 19.

  3. Love your blog, and get the feed in my Bloglines. We used to get stationery for Christmas all the time, but the practice died out with the rise of email…

  5. I have your RSS feed. And the beads work really well. I have used a bag of frozen peas for this, but if you leave them out (because you fall asleep, for example), they get mushy, and there’s always the chance that someone will forget and eat them. So the frozen bead packs are worth it.
