Got advice for grads? Share it in a Tweetchat.

th“Adulthood 101: Teaching grads about the real world” is the topic of a Tweetchat to be sponsored by Ally Bank on Tuesday.

Whether you’ve got advice to share or are wondering how best to help the neomatriculate in your life, drop by: You could win a $100 Amazon gift card.

From 2 to 3 p.m. Eastern, featured guest Bankrate.com will address issues such as student loans, retirement planning, home-buying and — for the elders — how to encourage rather than enable. Other personal finance specialists will likely check in, too. I’ll be there myself.

Never attended a Tweetchat? Think of it as a virtual party, one in which everybody’s talking about the same thing. It’s fast-moving and entertaining and, in this case, educational.

The best part? Since we’re all limited to 140 characters nobody has enough space to be pompous.

Here’s how to become eligible to win:

  • Leave an RSVP using instructions at this Ally Bank blog post. (You must be 18 or older and a United States resident to win.)
  • Follow @AllyBank and @Bankrate during the chat.
  • Use hashtag #AllyBRChat to follow/participate in the action. (Hint: Using the bank’s Twitter Chat Room makes it easier.)

If you’re a parent or ally (so to speak) then you could learn tips to share. If not? If you have advice to offer, new grads and those who love them can benefit. And yeah, it doesn’t hurt that you have a shot at winning $100 in Amazon scrip.

Think that’s unlikely? One of your fellow Surviving and Thriving readers won a $100 Amazon card at Ally Bank’s May 22 chat. That was the same chat that inspired my “Is it ever too late to start saving?” post. Win-win!

So show up if you can. Bonus: Since this is a virtual party, you don’t have to bring a bottle of wine for the hosts.
