Help with that 2015 fitness resolution.

thAccording to Time magazine, “lose weight and get fit” is the most commonly busted New Year’s resolution. Shocking, huh?

But if 2015 is the year you absolutely, positively, seriously mean to get in shape, this week’s giveaway can help.

The 2015 Fitness Boost package contains a handful of items to support your goals. You still have to do the work, of course, but at least this will start you off with new stuff.

The winner will receive:

  • Black duffel bag with carrying strap (Scottrade logo): This nice-sized bag has room for gym gear and/or swimsuit
  • Water bottle with built-in straw (Valpak logo): Staying hydrated can help make you a little more comfortable
  • Fitness journal (Chase logo): A lined journal with attached pen, to keep track of your workouts
  • Flashing disc (Experian logo): Pin this on your jacket when running in early morning or at night, so motorists can see you
  • Post-It notes (Country Financial logo): Stick reminders (“8 a.m., personal trainer”) and encouragement (“Lost 5 lbs! WTG!”) all over the place to stay on track
  • Analgesics: Ten tablets of Advil, in case you feel a little sore at first
  • Vitamin sample: Sundown Naturals adult gummy multivitamins — am I the only one who finds “adult” and “gummy” pretty funny when used in combination? — plus a $2 coupon off your next purchase

I’m also throwing in a $5 Starbucks card, which could come in handy as the carrot on the stick: Get through a week’s worth of changes and you can stop for a beverage. Naturally you’ll choose something healthy like green tea, right? Right?

As for all the logos, well, what can I say? I go to conferences.

To enter:

If you do any (or all!) of these things, please leave separate, additional comments to get credit for each entry.

The deadline is 7 p.m. PDT Tuesday, Jan. 6. If I don’t hear back from the winner by 7 p.m. PDT Wednesday, Jan. 7, I’ll pull another name.

Note: Due to the high cost of international shipping, a winner from outside the United States will receive an Amazon gift card.

  3. Donna I love how you recycle/regift all of your conference “goodies” and we benefit from it!

I’ve decided to continue my yoga journey this year and would love a new bag to carry my clothes to and from work!

  4. Thanks for the giveaway chance, Donna. I thought adult gummies were bizarre, too–until I received a sample and tried them. It beats the daylights out of swallowing more pills. I’ve since converted several of my daily vitamins to gummies–now it’s like a daily snack!

  5. Through a great deal offered at work, I’ve recently joined a gym. This giveaway would be an excellent (additional) incentive for me to hit the gym! Thanks for the opportunity!

  6. I follow you on FaceBook. This is a great giveaway – I could use everything in the package. I started walking awhile back to combat depression following my husband’s death, and to lose weight prior to a high school reunion. Depression is gone and I’ve lost most of the weight I needed to lose. Started out walking one-eighth of a mile (just couldn’t do more), and gradually worked my way up to walking 3.5 miles daily. Hope to increase to 5 miles/day by year end. So even if my name is not chosen – I’m still a winner! Thank you for all you do for your followers. It IS going to be a great 2015!

  7. I’m cutting it close, since I’ll have limited access to email until Wednesday, but please count me in! What a lovely-and timely-package.

Happy New Year, and as always, thanks for the giveaway.

  8. I’m determined to get healthier. The majority of my focus is on nutrition right now but i intend to add exercise, as well. I also plan to accomplish a few more goals, even though the thought of some them terrify me.

  9. I follow you here on your blog, as well as on Facebook, but I am fine with only one entry in the contest. My lose weight/get fit commitment started in September, so January is just a continuation—so much easier to continue what I all ready have started, as opposed to a brand new resolution! A personal trainer and a change in eating habits (as opposed to a “diet”) have helped me to lose 14 pounds so far. I feel GREAT…and not everyone my age (70) can say that! Good health is a real reason to have an attitude of gratitude! Blessing to you in the New Year & I do have Talkeetna on my bucket list for 2015.

  10. Wow — everyone wants to win this one! So do I, so do I.

My best weight loss hack: reduce portions, increase fluids, increase activity. It never fails. I don’t have to worry about what I’m eating, or if I went to the gym: I just make sure that the pedometer gets to at least 7,000 steps a day, and track food/calories in either a planner or on a website like My Fitness Pal. They seem to be the best.

    Thanks for the great giveaways.
