Wanted: A breakfast buddy in Seattle.

th-1A week from today I’ll be at Seattle Tacoma International Airport, on my way to someplace else. Between probably 6 a.m.* and about 2 p.m., I’ll be looking for company.

Anybody up for a Dutch-treat breakfast, brunch or lunch?

The ground rules:

It would have to be at a place near the airport, since I’m not renting a car for an eight-hour layover.

Specifically, a place accessible via Seattle public transit. Ideally that would be something like a single bus ride or one or two stops down on the light rail, vs. taking the train all the way to the end and then switching to the South Lake Union Trolley.**

It would have to be affordable – no $22 Eggs Benedict, please.

Anybody out there available during that time frame? If so, let’s meet for coffee and a bagel, a plate of eggs and potatoes, or whatever’s nearby.

Leave your dining suggestion(s) and your preference (breakfast or lunch?) in the comments section, or e-mail them to me at SurvivingAndThriving (at) live (dot) com.

It would be fun to say hello in person. Let’s do this if we can.

*I say “probably” at 6 a.m. because I’m traveling on a buddy pass and there’s a slight chance I’ll get bumped. Last time I took this flight (1:45 a.m.) it was about one-third empty, even though it was a “combi” jet (half cargo, half people trying to sleep). Thus I’m pretty sure I’ll get to Seattle as planned on Feb. 23.

  1. Oh how I wish I could! But I have one to add to your acronym comment. When I lived in Pittsburgh there was a live event venue called the Amphitheater at Station Square… Yeah, I really want to go to events at the ASS.
