Who wants a free movie ticket?

thThe last movie-based giveaway drew 135 entries. That shouldn’t have surprised me, because relatively few people would turn down a free movie ticket. I’d like to win a free movie ticket myself.

But this week it’s your turn, not mine. The giveaway prize is a $10 card to AMC Theatres.

Think of it: At least one (and maybe more than one) movie you don’t have to pay to see. Just swipe that card and enter your local palace of dreams.

Maybe you’ll see an Oscar contender, or several older films at the second-run place, or sneak guiltily into a trashy flick you wouldn’t admit to having seen. (Hey, everyone needs a popcorn movie now and then.)

Or just blow it out with one ticket and a box of Goobers. It’s your card. It’s your call.

That is, if you win. To enter:

If you do any (or all!) of these things, please leave separate, additional comments to get credit for each entry.

The deadline is 7 p.m. PDT Tuesday, Jan. 27. If I don’t hear back from the winner by 7 p.m. PDT Wednesday, Jan. 28, I’ll pull another name.

  1. I’ll take a run at it. Too bad the smell of the popcorn in our local theatre is better than the taste. Now I have to go pop a bag of microwave popcorn.

  2. Movies are always enjoyable to me, even when they’re considered “so-so” the experience of sitting and simply watching a movie is a great treat.

  3. I don’t usually enter the movie giveaways as I am a rare moviegoer, but currently there are 2 movies I want to see enough to be willing to fork over the outrageous ticket price. Would be great to get to offset it!

  4. Love to win this. The last living friend of my deceased parents lives near an AMC theater. We are both living on social security. I already share all my FREE magazines with her. I would LOVE to take her to a matinee.

  5. Hubby and I went to movies last night. We had to stand in line to get in to see American Sniper. it is a thought provoking, emotional movie. Clint Eastwood directed and produced so you know you will enjoy the quality of the movie.

  6. It sure is nice to just go see a film once in a while. We are heading off to see Mordecai, which is getting awful reviews. I wasn’t in the mood for anything heavy, but now I’m thinking maybe we should upgrade to a better film. Next time!

  7. I would love to go! Have you seen “Into the Woods” yet? I thoroughly enjoyed it. Maybe you could do one of your extremely enjoyable “Financial Lessons Learned from XXX movie” articles.

    Good Luck to everyone!

  8. Last movie I saw in a theatre was when a friend won a radio contest and we got a light buffet dinner, bottle of beer and a movie! So I’d love another free movie!
