Books and bracelets: A second-chance offer.

The random number generator liked Jennifer best this week: She’s the winner of “The Prepper’s Pocket Guide: 101 Easy Things You Can Do to Ready Your Home for a Disaster” plus the paracord bracelet woven by the author, Bernie Carr.

You can get one of these, too -- even if you didn't win.

A number of readers seemed to think the bracelet was too très stylin’. Here’s how you can get your own, and/or a personalized copy of last week’s giveaway book.

Carr will make and mail you a bracelet for $10. You can choose from royal blue, red and black, desert camo, purple or dark green, in child or adult sizes.

If you’re interested in buying one, contact her through apartmentprepper@yahoo.com.

Last week Danny Kofke sponsored a giveaway of his two books, “How to Survive (and Perhaps Thrive) on a Teacher’s Salary” and “A Simple Book of Financial Wisdom: Teach Yourself (and Your Kids) How to Live Wealthy with Little Money.” He has offered to sell the books, personalized to the buyer or recipient, for $8 and $10, respectively, plus $3 for shipping.

If you’re interested, contact him through kofketd@windstream.net.

Incidentally: I don’t get any kickbacks if these items are sold. I just wanted to make them available because comments indicated reader interest.

  1. Hey Donna, thanks for keeping it all going. I read you occasionally on GRS, and now I come directly to your blog. Glad you keep it up frequently. And the giveaways are nice, although not my reason for reading you. I read you because of the human approach you bring to survivin’ and frugalin’.
