Giveaway: $20 Amazon card.

thHoly cow — a month has gone by without a giveaway! Work plus travel plus seasonal ennui can do a number on even the best of intentions.

Although I have a handful of books begging to be re-homed, I don’t have it in me today to do the careful write-ups they deserve. (Tomorrow’s not looking good, either.)

Thus I’m taking the path of least resistance and proffering an Amazon gift card. Easy for me to send. Easy for you to spend. I’d call that a win-win.

Think of all the ways that Amazon could blast you out of your own seasonal ennui (if any). Put it toward a new outfit for spring. Order a good bottle of olive oil or some bags of quinoa to improve your diet. (Or spend it all on excellent chocolate. No one has to know.)

Splurge on frou-frou beauty items, since the first $20 worth will be free (and if you order enough, you’ll get free shipping). Select some new music to pep up your workout or to make your commute more interesting.

Or just treat yourself to the book(s) you’ve been wanting. Beach season isn’t far away, so a little beach reading would be great. This is true even if your “beach” is a blanket in the back yard or a deck chair on your tiny condo balcony.

If you’d like to toss your name into the virtual hat, do so in one or more of the following ways:

If you do any (or all!) of these things, please leave separate, additional comments to get credit for each entry.

The deadline to enter is 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 15. If I don’t hear back from the winner by 7 p.m. PDT Wednesday, March 16, I’ll have the random number generator pull a new name.

P.S. The illustration may be of a $10 Amazon gift card, but I really am giving away a double sawbuck’s worth of scrip.

  1. Donna – it was your suggestion about gift cards that got me into Swagbucks. It keeps me in e-books for my kindle. We’ve been purging our shelves and taking them to half-price books to sell. Or trade, since we rarely get out without buying something.

    • Dear Patricia,
Thanks for your kind words — and just FYI, the Financial Blogger Conference takes place in San Diego in September. My daughter ad I are planning a reader meet-up during that time frame. I do hope you can join us.

  6. I recently found your blog and have enjoyed the encouragement to save! I am a cheapskate, so a gift card would be used for essentials, and definitely not frou frou beauty items!

  9. It would be great to win the Amazon gift card. I’m saving for a new toaster. My current one only toasts the bread on one side.

  14. Hi, Donna. I already have quinoa but could still use a $20 Amazon card. Could use it to get ready for spring houseguests. 😉
