We’re getting down to the wire, Christmas-wise. Would a $25 Amazon card help?

Even if you couldn’t get the gift shipped by Dec. 25, you could wrap up a “watch this space” card and promise to hand over the present as soon as it arrives.

Or maybe it’ll be a Christmas miracle and the gift will arrive on time. You won’t know unless you try. 

Maybe you’ve already finished your shopping, or perhaps you don’t do holiday gifts. That $25 card could still come in handy for:

  • Something you want or need
  • A gift for a babysitter, teacher or friend
  • Some charitable cause you support
  • Diapers or socks or some other useful item being shipped to a local shelter

While it’s true that $25 doesn’t go far these days, it would still be $25 more than you had when you started reading this.

How to win the $25 Amazon card

Here’s how to take your shot at some scrip:

  • Leave a general comment below (again, one per customer)
  • Leave another comment telling us how you would use the card
  • Subscribe via Feedly
  • Sign up to follow me on Twitter
  • Sign up to follow me on Facebook
  • Follow me on Pinterest

Please leave a separate comment for each entry you want to make (e.g., “Follow you on Facebook”).

The entry deadline is 6 p.m. PST Wednesday, Dec. 20.  I notify winners via e-mail, so be sure to check yours (including the junk mail folder, since “You won!“ might trigger the spam sensors). If I don’t hear back by 6 p.m. PST Thusday, Dec. 21, I’ll have the random number generator choose a new name.

It’s been fun following for so many years, not only bc of the giveaways but also the various interesting things you’ve shared including the moose sightings, great frugal ideas, tips, and of course recipes and whatnot. I would use the Amazon card to order something special for my dear friend, my BFF Marion who has to endure a bunch of chemo this autumn and before that so much radiation therapy, and a bone marrow transplant. I just want to get something to show her she’s loved and to help her feel pampered bc she never buys anything for herself. Ever the selfless lady. Xo

  26. If I won the gift card I would use it towards buying an outdoor wireless camera for my shed. Would be interesting to see the animal visitors who come around at night and deter any unwanted human visitors! lol

  31. How wonderful to offer another opportunity for a gift card. If I win, I will put it towards my local animal shelter Amazon wish list. They are a no kill, that is has I gotten alarming full as people either move or just can’t care for their pets. It’s extremely sad. During the pandemic, when they couldn’t let people in, I’m would order anything I could afford to help.

  32. Feliz Navidad Donna. I subscribe by email. At age 79 I am about to become the guardian and permanent surrogate mom to my teenage grandson so the $25 gift certificate would come in handy to buy him snacks or sox or whatever he needs. He arrives from the west coast on 12/21. Merry Christmas to you and yours.

If the random generator lands on me, just give it another spin: I’ve won things a couple times over the years (movie gift cards, and a nifty calendar of the Alaskan Northern Lights of 2022 that I really loved) I appreciate all your great frugal hacks over the years.

  60. I would probably use the gift card for a need, rather than a want. Sometimes it’s nice to have a gift card balance on Amazon for when an unexpected need pops up. (My last unexpected need from Amazon was a toilet flapper.)
