Go to the movies on me.

thSummer blockbusters mean lots of things: excitement, drama, peril, animation, pratfalls, talking animals, jokes about body parts.

They also mean a nice break from reality in a dark and air-conditioned room. In some areas of the country that’s a really welcome respite.

But given that the average cost of a movie ticket is more than $8, movies can put a hurt on the budget.

That’s why this week’s giveaway is a $10 Fandango gift card.

In other words, your next movie and part of the one after that are on me. All you have to do to enter is:

If you do any (or all!) of these things, please leave separate, additional comments to get credit for each entry.

The deadline is 7 p.m. PDT Tuesday, July 22. If I don’t hear back from the winner by 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, I’ll pull another name.

  3. Would love to win the ticket as movies ARE expensive. Last movie we saw was “The Lone Ranger” in the IMAX and the price was “breathtaking” for myself, DW and DD2. Despite the reviews we enjoyed the movie…Johnny Depp was a hoot and the special effects and action photography was unbelievable. Thanks for the opportunity…

  10. We enjoy having family movie nights in the comforts of our own home, but that makes a movie in a theater a real date night for my husband and me.

  11. I am a facebook follower and a trip to the movies may erase the horror that is applying for jobs after not having to so in 27 years. 🙁
