We need a boost, and quickly.

thThe “we” is me and my daughter, whom regular readers know as the brains behind the I Pick Up Pennies website. Abby and I are participating in the #FinHealthMatters writing competition and we want to hedge our bets.

Specifically: We would really appreciate some social media lurve.

That’s because nine of the 10 prizes are based on excellence in writing and the tenth on engagement via Twitter and Pinterest. While we’d both like to think that our entries could be winners on their own, she and I have decided to engage online as well.

Each of the 10 winners will receive up to $1,500 worth of travel expenses to the 2016 Financial Blogger Conference, which takes place from Sept. 21 to 24 in San Diego. The competition is jointly sponsored by FinCon and the Center for Financial Services Innovation.

Here’s how you can help

If you’ve got a Twitter and/or Instagram account, Abby and I would greatly appreciate it if you could:

Tweet one or more of the following messages by the end of the day Wednesday, July 6:

Note: For both Twitter and Instagram, please make sure to use the hashtag #FinHealthMatters. That’s how they determine the most-connected blogger.

(Earlier the article said Pinterest rather than Instagram. Sorry about that.}

Thanks for any help you can give. And if you’re in the San Diego area, hope you can attend a reader meet-up after the conference. It will likely be lunch at an affordable place (got any suggestions?) on Sunday, Sept. 24. More details as they develop.
