Savings.com is at it again. This time, the coupon/deals website is giving away five $100 e-gift cards to Old Navy.
Although this is being billed as the #OldNavyFallLooks giveaway, I’m thinking “holiday shopping.” You could do quite a bit of damage with $100 at Old Navy, especially if you check the clearance racks and/or wait until Black Friday.
Then again, Old Navy is known for fun clothing and accessories that are affordable even when they aren’t on sale.
How do you enter? Easy: Use this link before 11:59 p.m. PDT Sunday, Oct. 10. Five winners will get an e-mail from Savings.com to let them know they’ve won.
I was in Old Navy two days ago, due to great-nephew’s need to buy a couple of things to wear on a trip to the Lower 48. Being there reminded me of my favorite score from that store, some years back: soft cotton pants with deep pockets, perfect for my own trips to Phoenix, the East Coast and FinCon.
Bonus: They were on sale! I liked them so much that I bought several pairs because – back me up, ladies – it’s really hard to find women’s slacks with pockets.
Uses for an Old Navy e-gift card
Even if this store isn’t a place where you normally shop, I suggest you enter anyway. Here are several potential uses:
- Give it as a birthday or holiday present
- Buy men’s and women’s socks to donate to a shelter (socks are always needed)
- Buy children’s pajamas to donate to a family shelter
- Buy hats and gloves and drop them off at a school, to be handed out to kids/teens who don’t have winter gear
- Offer it as a door prize at your next PTA or community improvement meeting
What you do with it is up to you. But you’ve got to be in it to win it. (Full disclosure: I earn a teeny-tiny affiliate fee for sign-ups through my link.)
Recently a commenter said that when she entered a Savings.com giveaway she began to get a lot of spam, and suggested that her info was being marketed. A site representative told me that the company does not sell information. Although you have the chance to sign up for partner deals via e-mail, you have to opt in specifically to get them.
I hope one of you wins a $100 Old Navy card. Heck, I hope that five of you win Old Navy gift cards. If you do, please come back and brag about it.
I usually regret not buying multiple items when I find that perfect piece of clothing. My favorite t-shirt of all time is actually from Old Navy. It’s a linen blend v-neck in charcoal. It’s the perfect weight for me, and it just looks a lot nicer than the usual t-shirt. Hope someone (maybe me) wins one of the cards.
I hope you win, too, and you can buy more T-shirts.
