Giveaway: Alaska-made chocolate.

Because just about everybody likes chocolate, or knows someone who does. Right?

Because the holidays are approaching, when people like to give sweets. Naturally!

And because I am trying to feature Alaskan-made products in at least some of these pre-holiday giveaways. #SupportLocalEconomy

These aren’t just any old bars. They’re  small-batch, dark chocolate (55% cacao) Chugach Chocolate bars –  and some of the flavors are very, very unique.

The winner gets to pick four 1.75-ounce bars from the following list:

Chocolate with Alaskan Birch Syrup Toffee
Chocolate with Prince William Sound Sea Salt
Chocolate with Mat-Su Valley Potato Chips
Chocolate with Espresso Beans
Chocolate with Pink Himalayan Salt
Chocolate with Alaskan Kelp and Cayenne (not making that up)

Why four bars? Because that’s how many I can fit into a small flat-rate USPS box.

Wondering what to get the person who has everything? I’m fairly certain that he or she isn’t getting kelp-cayenne chocolate in that holiday stocking this year.

Then again, he or she might not get it if you win, either, because you might want to keep it allllll to yourself. It can be our little secret.

Note: Chugach Chocolates offers free U.S. shipping on orders of $26 or more. The six-bar bundle, which features the above-mentioned flavors, costs $26.95 and the chocolatier has other gift options as well.

So if you’re looking for presents for foodies, business associates or, again, to that person who has everything, why not order from Chugach and leave the shipping to them? Or have them send it to you so that you can wrap it.

(I said wrap it, not unwrap it. Then again, you could always order a few extras for yourself and join me in #SupportingMyLocalEconomy.)

For your chance(s) to win, do one or more of the following:

Be sure to leave a separate comment for each entry (e.g., “Subscribed via e-mail” or “Follow you on Twitter”).

The deadline to enter is 6 p.m. PST Tuesday, Nov. 17. If I don’t hear back from the winner by 6 p.m. PST Wednesday, Nov. 18, I’ll have the random number generator pull a new name.

Note: Due to the high cost of international shipping, this giveaway is limited to U.S. residents.

And: I am not receiving any kind of affiliate fee if you buy from the Chugach website. Just want to promote the Last Frontier.

  13. I would love to win those candy bars as I have had a life long addiction to chocolate which I blame on my mother who ate too many Hershey Bars when she was pregnant with me back in 1958-59 and this is turning into quite the run on sentence. Thank you!
